Move To Heal provides arts-based movement and mindfulness classes and experiences.
Move To Heal South Dakota dance and yoga classes are filled with music, joy and healing actions tailored to meet the needs of each group or individual. The health benefits of Move To Heal South Dakota reach beyond the physical to include the emotional and spiritual aspects of a person, restoring a profound sense of well-being. We provide group classes in health care and community settings.
We believe that we can’t heal what we can’t feel and when you begin feeling, you begin healing.
Through our trauma-sensitive movement and mindfulness opportunities we share practical and effective tools to help regulate your nervous system, strengthen your emotional resiliency, and allow a sense of hope to restore your body.

Moving Light 3-day Workshop
Moving Light is unique collaboration between two nonprofit organizations, Headlights Theater and Move To Heal South Dakota, with a shared mission of making dance accessible in the community. Our two organizations came together to create a high quality, affordable and accessible movement workshop for kids in underserved areas of the community. This 3 day workshop was on July 20-22, 2022 and included dance and yoga classes for 22 youth ages 7-13 years old that enhanced their confidence while giving them a safe space to express themselves through movement.
Moving Light is taught by Move To Heal instructors and Headlights Theater NYC professional dancers. Participants and their families will also had the opportunity to attend a Headlights Theater Performance on July 22, featuring a local musician and the professional dancers, free of charge.
